foliage

Sometimes I wish to be more creative, it is an awesome goft that I have every now and again. I need to become better at that part in life, got any ideas? This morning, I went on a nice bike ride around Lubbock. It's amazing what all you are able to notice in life when you take things nice and slow. Like, I was over riding past Stubbs original BBQ stand today and I just felt like walking around that area a little. By the way, great work Stubby at making a great saucy momma with your BBQ. Anyways, I was walking around his memorial and I kept walking and I came across a furnace back there and it was perplexing at what it could have been used for. That's when the mind begins to grow in the creativity department. When you are looking at things that you have no idea what they are used for so you begin to make up ideas for what they were once used for. Fun. I'll just fill you in a bit, today I also got a free cactus. I have recently been turning my room into a foliage encrusted atmosphere and it is great. I have a bamboo from Mrs. Wilder, a lemon-basil plant because basil is the best, a jade plant just like Grumpy's, and now I have a cactus and it's great to have those items in here. I hope I'm not boring anyone with these posts and I also hope that there is at least one reader out there:)

103

This year has had quite an interesting start and by interesting I mean that there has been so much that has changed since I have last been up here. It is completely different that what it used to be and I am trying my hardest to get used to all the changes, but thats the way that life works. It changes if you are there or not and you just have to go with it. Something that I have believed in for a while is that water always finds the easiest way down a slope. Life is similar to that same thing, with God in control and all. I am excited about all the new changes that have taken place and I am working hard at getting used to it all. Here's a new change also. About a week ago, I took my first test since my brain injury and today I got the grade back... 103 with extra credit! Try and explain how a man who would have struggled considerably to get a B on a test comes back from recovering from a traumatic brain injury and scores a 103 on a test?!

HellooooOOooo! Good idea Kalyn, I think we do need to continue this blog because it is kinda fun to read about what is happening in lives especially Courtney's. So here we go, Ive been going to school for the semester for about 2 weeks now. I am really enjoying being back up here and seeing all of my friends. It is hard for me moreso than other times to be up here because it is taking me a while to get used to living by myself again. I miss my family so much more this time than ever before because they have done so much for me and I understand how important they are, because I would not be alive without the love that they have provided me with. I have learned very much about love and family the past few months of being home. I pray that someday I will be able to provide that for someone else. I have not been able to talk to people as well through this brain injury nonesense but if I could I would want to be able to tell my family how much they mean to me.
I love yall,
Ryan Haymaker

It's Been A While

Hello Fellow Woocowers!
It's been so long since I've wrote. I think it's time to try and start this bad boy up again. Haymaker, I can't wait to see you in Lubbock in a few weeks! And Courtney, I can't wait to see you again. I miss you so much! Can we all start writing again? I want to hear what's going on in Louisiana! I love you both so much.

Grumpy

My grandfather's name is Grumpy. Not really his name but what our family calls my grandfather. This morning, me and him had a great time together siting, drinking coffee, and talking. It was so great to spend so much time with him because we very rarely are able to relax and talk together. I will say that he has taught me a good deal about love, not by speaking to me, but by example. My grandmother or his wife has Alzheimer's and it amazes me how much love Grumpy has for her, my Nana. Grumpy, you're an amazing guy and I love you so much, Ryan

Virginia

I have taken a trip to Virginia and I am visiting with some family up here. It is a good time and lovely to see everyone. My uncle and myself went on a nice run yesterday and it was a great time, we had a great talk while we were out there and it was an awesome time with him! I'm planning on running a marathon in my life with my woocow friend Courtney who is on a mission trip in Guatamala currently, if anyone reads this blog send out a prayer or two for her because prayers work like a charm and I can prove that in more ways than one. I love you, Hayflakerbaker
